Inter School Sports 2018 - 2019
Y5/6 Sportshall Athletics
Y5/6 took part in the small schools athletics competition at Penketh High School. The children perfomred fantastically as a team and finished third in a very tight contest. They did the school proud with their efforts and sporting behaviour.
Y5/6 Netball
Y5/6 girls entered their first ever netball competition at Newman High School. The girls were competing in their first ever match as well and as the competition went on, the girls improved in each match. The girl's attitude was fabulous throughout.
Y5/6 Key Steps Gymnastics
7 Children took part in the Key Steps Gymnastics competition at Wire Gymnastics. The children have been practising for weeks and came 2nd in the competition. We are thrilled with thier performance and dedication. Well done!
KS1 Key Steps Gymnastics
4 children took part in the Key Steps Gymnastics competitions for KS1 children. It is the first time we have entered children from year 1. We are thrilled with how well they did. Well done!
Kwik Cricket Cluster Event
The year 5/6 children competed in their local cluster event. They competed in a group format and won all their matches to claim the gold medal. They now go on to the Warrington finals. It is the 3rd time in 4 years they have won their cluster event. Well done!
Central Area Rounders Tournament
Year 6 entered the Central Area Rounders tournament at Newman High School. The children had very little practise prior to this yet produced a brilliant display to come runners up in the competition. Well done!
Y3/4 Sportshall Athletics
Y3/4 took part in the BOLD cluster athletics competition at BCA. It was their first competitive event and they were so excited to be taking part. The children gave their all and were a fabulous team. Well done!
Warrington Schools Quicksticks Tournament
For the first time the school entered three teams into this competition. It is historically a competition that the children do really well in. All teams competed really well and improved with each game. The competition took place in a league format and the top two from each team progressed to a semi final. Team A won through and went on to become Warrington champions. This is the school's first ever Warrington title. Well done to Team A and the other two team. We are vey proud of you all.
Y3/4 Key Steps Gymnastics
9 children took part in the Warrington Key Steps Gymnastics competition. It is the first time we have entered a mixed team so we were very pleased to be able to do this for the first time. Both teams finished 5th overall. Well done!
Road to Tokyo
26 children took part in the Road to Tokyo school games at the Orford Jubilee in June. The children took part in Change for life events, football and orienteering. The year 5/6 boys and girls orienteering teams both came away with gold medals beating over 20 schools in the process. Well done to all invovled.
Cheshire Fire 7's Rugby Competition
The year 5/6 rugby team were brilliant in reaching the semi finals of the competition. They lost a really close semi final against Oakwood and were so unlucky not to make the final for the first time. Superb effort boys!
