St Ann's Curriculum

Our intention is to provide the children in our care with an engaging, exciting and empowering curriculum that equips them for today and tomorrow.  We want our curriculum to provide children with the opportunities to achieve highly.

We embrace the challenge of ensuring that our curriculum is designed to:

  • Recognise children’s prior learning
  • Provide first-hand learning experiences
  • Allow children to develop interpersonal skills, build resilience and become creative, critical thinkers
  • Identify how learning in different subjects can complement each other to embed knowledge and extend understanding
  • Develop children’s understanding of core British values
  • Deepen their spiritual, moral, social and cultural development
  • Deliver the core National Curriculum whilst offering enrichment
  • Incorporate our core Christian values (Respect, Hope, Perseverance, Peace, Forgiveness & Reconciliation, Trust & Honesty)

For children who may require additional support, we aim to adapt and make reasonable adjustments to ensure all children can access an engaging, challenging curriculum. Please click here for further information about our 'access for all' approach.

If you have any queries about our Curriculum, please contact Miss Hunt, Mrs Sherwen or Mrs Keen who will be happy to help!
